Eyes: more hazel, but still a blue, gray, green color. Beautiful little eyes!
Hair: pretty blond and ready for cut #2
Clothes: 12 month pants, 18 month everything else. About to need the 24 month pajamas and onesies. The 12-18 month GAP shirts are all too small now. He's growing so fast! And he looks absolutely adorable with no pants on, when he runs around in his onesie. :-)
Sleeping: Aiden goes to bed at about 7:30pm and wakes up around 6am. He naps from about 9:30-11 and 3-4:15. He goes down so easily and is very content in his crib. He loves to snuggle his animals when he's sleeping! He sleeps on his back a lot more than he used to and stretches his body out a lot more often. We still have him sleep in a sleepsack because he moves around way too much for a blanket. He literally spins in circles and rolls back and forth all night long.
Eating: Aiden has been a bit picky this past month. He will eat really well at one meal or with one food, and then with others he'll love the first 3-4 bites and then refuse any more. He LOVES oranges and little cuties are a staple in the house. Blueberries, pears, and strawberries are a hit. String cheese and gold fish are a sure bet snack. He's doing great with peanut butter and jelly sandwiches and even holds it like a sandwich! He usually likes spaghetti. He loved a shrimp pasta I made one night. He enjoys quesadillas and tostada's and guacamole always gets gobbled down! Yogurt, oatmeal, and raisin toast are a staple in the morning. Aiden drinks whole cow's milk, cold from the refridgerator these days. We've worked this month to cut him back from 30oz in 5 bottles, to now about 22 oz in 4 bottles. He used to drink 6oz each time, which we cut back to 5oz. Then the last week or two we cut out one bottle, by waiting until after his morning nap for this 2nd of the day. Now we're giving him 6oz in the morning and before bed, and 5oz for lunch and before afternoon nap. He's starting to practice taking milk in a cup and seems to do the best with straw cups that we doesn't have to tip up. Overall he's a great little eater. More picky this month, but still trying to eat everything we are. Pork chops, asparagus, pizza, you name it!
Loves: Aiden is such a happy baby! Where do I start with some of the things he loves right now?! He loves stuffed animals. He snuggles his puppy and lamb in his crib and likes to rub the elephant lovie on his face. When getting tired downstairs he'll lay down with his stuffed animals, big puppy in particular, and roll around with them. Sometimes even Kuna's stuffed animals will work! He LOVES reading!! We read almost every book each day and he'll crawl into our laps to listen and then go grab another one. His favorites right now are: The Little Engine That Could, Nose Book, Counting Cockatoos, Oh No George, Richard Scarrys Trucks and of course, Pajama Time. He also likes the talking Christmas book that Nana and Grandpa gave him. Aiden loves basketball! We waves his arms to mean "bounce bounce bounce" and gets so excited with we bounce the ball or play catch, with my help catching it! We've helped him "slam dunk" on neighbor Vinny's little outdoor hoop, and now he likes to run to it or to Manny's big hoop. He loves it! Aiden is also addicted to Foosball! He loves when I play holding him, or loves throwing the balls on the field. He's almost too tall and will smack his head on the bars soon. He and Kuna can keep themselves entertained for probably 30 minutes getting the little soccer balls out of the cubby, dumping them over the edge, running around then, hitting them together, etc. He loves the dishwasher and runs to it and tries to grab silverware out every time he sees it open. He still really likes Kuna's bowls but he gotten better about standing and oooooing at them instead of splashing all the water out and let's us pick them up. He loves to get things out of our bathroom drawers and throw them all over in the morning. He particularly likes my brush and will even brush his hair! He also likes to chew on toothbrushes and try to brush his teeth. He enjoys opening all the drawers he can! Pulling the DVD's out or bibs out are fun games. Aiden loves his shapes toy! The circle, star, and moon are his favorite and he can get them in the right slots most of the time. The circle he gets every time! He likes to walk his caterpillar and frog in laps around the house. He likes when I put the little wooden blocks in his dump truck or power shovel, but still hasn't quite figured out how to pull back the vehicles to make them move. He loves to swing his left arm when he runs. He likes to stomp his foot and now drop his butt down for a little dance move! He loves elephants right now. He loves to snuggle his stuffed ones and wave at the one on his wall or bookcase. He also loves to wave at his bumble bee. He LOVES birds! He ooo's and gets in a trance watching them fly. He loves to swing at the park and generally loves being outside. He gets excited when Shelby says it's time to take Kuna for a walk. He loves bath time, and enjoys blowing bubbles in his cup and playing peek a boo around the shower curtain. Aiden loves playing with the pots and pans and trying to put all their lids on. He'll pull everything out of the cabinet and line it up and put the lids on. He likes to sit in his clip on chair to play sou chef when we're cooking, or just be included in the action! He loves to play with rocks and basically run down the sidewalk when we walk Shelby out to her car. He is so cute walking her to the door too! He'll hold he hand and walk a few steps and then lets go and sprints to the door. He LOVES when Mommy gets home from work! He will run to me and give me a big hug everyday and climb into my lap. It's the sweetest thing ever and melts my heart each day. Strangely he doesn't give Dad the same reaction?! He has become a major finger sucker and sucks his middle two fingers on his right hand almost all the time, especially when tired or not feeling well.
Hates: Basically having his nose or face wiped are the worst thing ever! And other than the bear that moves and growls at Ross's grandpa's house, there is very little that Aiden doesn't like!

Milestones: Aiden is signing great! He signs "milk, eat, more, please, thank you/blowing kisses, all done, and we're working on "water". He can sit down when we ask him too. He has started to smile when we ask him too. He's saying "da da" all the time!! "Ma ma" is said appropriately sometimes. All fruits and vegetables are "banana". And then everything else is "ba ba" or silly babbling. Nana and Papa might be said appropriately, but he babbles that a lot too! We bought him the next size car seat on his 14 month birthday. He can eat a sandwich the right way occasionally! He slides down the stairs on his belly correctly almost all the time. He can throw the ball the Kuna pretty well. He has started drinking out of a cup, and is switched over to all cows milk and drinks it cold. He's not allergic to peanuts or nuts! He dancing a little bit and stomps his feet like a champ. He's getting better at petting Kuna and lays his head on her back to hug her. He has gotten really good at his stacking rings, stacking blocks, and recently stacking the cups inside each other. He's totally learning his shapes. He loves playing with his shapes toy and can also point at or stomp on the correct shapes on the mats at gymnastics.
Aiden is such a pleasure! He is so much fun to watch and play with each evening. You can see his little mind working and he always wants to see what's going on. He is the light of our lives everyday! Love you baby boy!
