Fun in the mountains!

On Saturday, Valentine's Day, we decided to fill the entire car with baby things and head up to my parents place in the mountains. First trip with Aiden! It's amazing how much stuff we had to haul with us for this little guy! He did great on the car ride and going over the passes didn't seem to bother his ears. Ross and I cooked up a fabulous dinner of mussels and enjoyed the evening. That night we had Aiden in the pack n play in our room. He slept great, but wow, we didn't! He grunts and moans for about 30 minutes before he wakes up to eat! Grunt machine. :)

We brought up an activity mat to let Aiden try since he appears to be seeing so much more these past few days, and he loved it!! He laid on that little mat looking at the owl and kicking his legs for hours! It was so cute and we were so happy he enjoyed laying on it.

Mom and Dad came up on Sunday afternoon and we got to spend amazing quality time with them and their grand baby.  On Monday I got to ski for a couple hours with Mom as the two Dad's held down the fort with Aiden. With rations in the fridge, all survived!!!

Ross had meetings in Parachute on Tuesday and then had to head home for an early morning flight to Houston. Aiden and I decided to stay in the mountains for a few more days and had a great time. He loved being outside and the views were a bit nicer than Lakewood! Dad and I skied for a couple hours on Wednesday. We all walked the loop each day and had such a nice time up there. On Thursday it was time to head back to Denver.

We had a snowy weekend in Denver and enjoyed the quiet time and reason to snuggle with our little guy! Kuna continues to be amazing with him and we can't even find the words to describe how happy this sweet boy has made us. :)

He is staying awake so much longer each day, or having a very awake day and then a very sleepy day. He's seeing new things everyday and it's so cute to watch how alert and intrigued he is. His faces are so fun to see and he's just the sweetest little guy!
