9 months!!

I can't believe my sweet little baby is already 9 months old! What an amazing 9 months it has been!

9 month stats

Weight - 20 lbs 3 oz (61%)

Height - 29.25" (85%)

Head - 18.7" (81%)

Eyes - steel blue gray! Gorgeous eyes that some days look blue, gray, or greenish. 

Hair - light brown with maybe some auburn. About ready for a haircut!

Sleeping - not so great. We've regressed a bit and Aiden has been waking up usually 2 times a night. We were working on cutting out the dream feed, but then that got replaced with a middle of the night feed, and then most recently he wants both! He's wearing his mamma out, sleeping worse than he did at 8 weeks old!  We think the teething a bit of traveling threw things off. He goes to bed at about 7:30pm each night and wakes up at about 6:30-7am.  He takes two or three naps, depending on how long the first two are.  He's very consistent with a morning nap at about 9am and he's getting better at both it and the ~2pm nap being almost 1.5 hrs.  We're close to being down to 2 naps consistently.

Eating - Aiden has bottles every 3-4 hours, of 5 oz and is eating solids three times a day now. All purées and some small bites. He can really only do puffs on his own and has a hard time picking up the slippery fruits.  He picked peas up well, but then wouldn't chew them! He likes most everything! Got to try beef stew, red peppers and potatoes, and still loves pears and most fruits. He likes to spit a bit while eating!

Teeth - 4.  And the upper middle two should break through any day! He recently learned how to bite his mamma while eating with these sharp little teeth of his!
Milestones - Aiden is walking!!  He took his first steps a few days before turning 9 months old!  In a matter of 4 days he figured it out!  He went from a quick couple step shuffle, to cruising along the couch, to letting go and taking off for a number of steps!  It was so cool to watch him.  Good job little buddy!

Loves - Knocking down his blocks, especially when we put the farm animals on top of the blocks.   Kuna! Kuna's water bowl. Kuna's toys. Crawling all the way across the living room to her.  Everything Kuna! He loves being outside. He loves slamming the blue thing and the book pages on his play table. He loves the farm book with the page that has a border collie on it. He loves bath time and standing up in the bath! He even likes to play at the tub with his bath toys when it isn't bath time.  He loves swinging at the park.  Big smiles every time he's swinging.  He loves trying to drink water from a cup or water bottle.  He recently started to enjoy opening and closing things, like the kitchen trash can, his clothes hamper.  He loves when Daddy or I fake slam dunk on the hoop in his room and loves to hang onto the rim! He loves to squeal! 

Hates - wiping his face or hands, although getting better.  Dislikes sitting still! Hates drying his hair after a bath.  But other than that, he's a very happy little boy!

Aiden is ticklish on his thighs and knees and above his hips. Doesn't laugh much but squeals and smiles so hard. Seems to like the color yellow. Goes for the yellow puzzle pieces from every puzzle! He loves when his Mom and Dad get home from work and gives us the most amazing little smiles and crawls so fast to us.  It is the most heartwarming thing we've ever seen!  He really likes the swimming hole!  He doesn't babble much.  He mainly just squeals and does some ooooo's and aaaahhh's with his cute little O face.  He thinks its funny to spit while eating.  He is drawn towards all cords or things plugged in and wants to pull them out. He sits super still and quiet on walks just taking everything in and enjoying the outdoors.  He is always in action.  This kid is non-stop!  He's playing, chasing Kuna, playing, walking, pulling himself up, playing....all day long!  He's so much fun.  Ross and I adore just watching him go and go in the evenings. He's such a little blessing.  Happy 9 months baby boy!
