1/25 - Our crazy little man and fun in the mountains

January 25, 2016

Aiden had a super fun week with Shelby. They played at the park and Kuna even went down the slide with them!!!  She followed them up and there were other kids playing and she jumped on the slide right after Shelby and Aiden went down.  Shelby said it was so funny and that she flew down the slide!  There was also a little boy that liked to chase Kuna and Aiden had fun chasing both of them.  They went to the library for baby time and had time seeing the elephant in the book and wanted a ladies "sea creature" cup.  Tot gymnastics was a hit and we can't wait to go take him so that we can see him on the big trampoline.  Shelby says he does great going down it himself and flirts with the mom's and teacher when they comment about him!  They did an art project and basically just had a good week.  Shelby said he's hysterical and a little goof ball. He's getting more engaged each week at music class too!  He was Mr GQ in all his cute outfits!

Over the weekend in the mountains Aiden got really good at going down the stairs by sliding down on his belly with his feet first.  He is so cute when he tries to get down and kinda spins circles and slides down and looks down and barrel rolls down the last stair to two.  He also really liked the bean bag!!  He would smile and laugh when we threw him on it and he would run and climb up it a bit.  It was so cute.  He also started waving at EVERYTHING!! He'd wave at Gammie, Papa, Uncle J, Kuna, the window, the fire, or anything he saw!  He learned how to put both hands on his face to play peek-a-boo!  It was so darling. He'd cover his face, kind of, and then pull his hands away with a big smile and little noise.  He also enjoyed playing peek a boo in the long curtains or around the corners in the basement.  The elevator was a whole new thrill!  He would watch the door close and smile.

We had a great powder day on Sunday, 13"!  Mom was sweet enough to let me go skiing and she watched Aiden.  The traffic was outrageous and storms kept coming, so we didn't end up going home on Sunday.  We played in the snow on the deck with Aiden and he seemed to enjoy it.  He loved watching Kuna jump at it and me throw it.  He didn't love when he fell forward and got a snowy face, but who does?!

Over the weekend we also transitioned to 1/2 cows milk at each bottle  The first day he didn't finish any of them, probably getting used to the flavor.  But on Sunday he guzzled them all down!  He has been boycotting me except for the morning feeding.  He did poop like crazy this weekend though.  Consistency was fine, but frequency was outrageous!  His poor butt was so raw and needed diaper cream for every change.  On Saturday when we were giving him a bath he cried like crazy when his butt was in the water and just wanted to reach for and hug me.  It was so sad, especially since he loves his bath time.  Poor little guy.  He also had his next molar cut through on Saturday.  10 teeth now!

We went out to dinner on Friday night in Edwards at a tasty little Italian place with Mom and Dad.  Aiden ate like a man!  It was so funny how much he ate and he was flirting with the server like crazy.

He's doing great with his sign language!  "Milk" and "More" he's awesome at.  He does "milk" a lot while he's drinking milk.  "All done" he's working on, as it's a combo of "so big, go broncos, and all done!"  And he definitely understands NO, Hot, Eat, Water.  He's so smart and it is so cool to watch him do milk and more so appropriately!

He is making elephant sounds all the time and is getting better at making little monkey squeaks too!

We're sure lucky to have this little darling 1 year old.  He's learning so much and always on the go.  He seriously runs laps and is so energetic before bed.  He's so much fun.  Love you baby boy!
