2/1 - Snow day and Super Bowl!

February 1, 2016

We drove home from the mountains on Monday morning after a great powder day and way too much traffic on Sunday.  The storm was slow to hit Denver but had arrived by Monday night and we got about 12" of snow in Lakewood.  My office opened late Tuesday, so I got a "snow morning" and Ross and I got our workout in shoveling snow! And poor Kuna froze a little and threw up, like usual!

I got a head cold this week, which was no fun. Luckily it didn't seem like Aiden ever got it.  He's just fighting those molars coming through instead. Still only the top two, but we're sure the bottom will break through in the coming weeks too. The snow kept Aiden and Shelby inside most of the week but they still got out for music class, toddler story time where Aiden got to play with his shadow, and gymnastics.  He's doing well interacting with other kids and enjoying all the outings.

 Playing "Peek-a-boo!"

We let Aiden eat peanut butter this weekend and he had no reaction!  Yay!  Not allergic to peanuts!!

Saturday we had dinner with Ross's family for Delly's birthday.  Aiden was a crackup at dinner, waving his arms and smiling and watching the basketball game on TV.  He didn't love the tostada I ordered him, but he'd eaten enough guacamole it didn't really matter!

Sunday...Super Bowl Sunday! Go Broncos! We went over to Devin's party at Ryan and Mary's, but actually went home at half time.  There were a lot of people there, and unfortunately it's hard for us to watch much in a non-baby-proofed house! So...we tried to be social, but it was just easier to be home and then I could bathe Aiden and get him to bed like normal too.  About the last 5 minutes of the game I finally got to sit down.  Wow!  Denver's defense did amazing and shut the Panthers down like crazy!  Yay!  Broncos Win!!!!!  So cool.
