Weeks 16 and 17

Week 16 - This week Aiden started cooing.  He makes the cutest little quiet oooo's and aaaa's.  Of course he still squeals and plays with his loud voice too, but the cooing noises definitely showed up and were adorable this week.  The drooling is out of control and we needed to put a bib on him a couple days to keep his shirts dry!  Friday the Gram's came over and Aiden got to meet Graye Elizabeth.  She seems so tiny compared to him!  They are two cute babies!  This was the first Friday I actually went to work, and I greatly enjoy my Friday's with Aiden more!  His sleeping was all thrown off this weekend and he was a party animal staying awake until 9 or 10 pm on Friday or Saturday!  We've started sitting him in the Bumbo chair from time to time, and he likes it for a little while.  He can't sit unsupported yet, but it allows him to look around and be out of our arms for a minute.  He's just about too big for the swing.  Turns out that wasn't really a necessity, since we used the puppy rocker way more!  He's getting too long for it too, but it still works for naps.  :-)

Week 17 - We had Aiden's 4 month check up with week.  He looks great! Tall and skinny but right on track.  His biggest issue is dry skin and irritation, so he loses a few style points there, but otherwise he's doing absolutely perfect.  We really like our pediatrician and the office.  He's chewing on his hands and drooling like crazy.  He opens his mouth and closes his eyes every time Kuna kisses him.  It's so cute!  He still sneezes in twos, pretty often.  And he only gets hiccups a couple times a week, it seems.  We've started to let him sleep with one arm out of his swaddle these days because he squirms and thrashes around a lot, we think trying to get them out.  He's almost too long for his swaddle sleepsack, so swaddling is just about a thing of the past! He's getting so big.  We officially transitioned him to a sleepsack with no arms over the weekend, after a night with both arms out of his swaddle sack, and he still slept great.

Aiden loves to grab his pee-pee with his left hand just about every time we change him lately. It's so funny. I know I say it every week, but this kiddo is so so smiley. He smiles at everything. It's so great!  He really enjoys watching Kuna run around with her squeaky toys and closes his eyes in preparation of getting kissed every time she gets too close.  He smiles at her too!  This kid is amazing.  We love every minute with him!

We had a big weekend.  Not only was it my first Mother's Day on Sunday, but Aiden learned a new trick!  He can officially roll over from back to stomach!  He did it the first few times on Sunday and then was unstoppable by Monday.  A little rollie pollie!  It's so neat to watch him learn and succeed.  :-)
