Yay for a short week! On Thursday evening we headed up to the mountains for the holiday weekend. On the 3rd we went up to Beaver Creek and took Aiden in the gondola to the top of the mountain and had lunch at the Chophouse. We went to the parade in Vail on the 4th and met up with the Kraft's. Ross and I made s'mores on the fire pit both night and enjoyed watching the fireworks shows from the deck. Aiden slept incredible! He slept 12 hrs one day! He sleeps amazing in the
mountains. We enjoyed nice walks in the mountains and Kuna did well with the
fireworks. On Friday Aiden started to
figure out he could move and on Saturday he learned to army crawl! It was pretty cute to watch him figure it out and see it click for him. He went from laying there to being able to push a little here and pull a little there and move himself forward. Look out world, Aiden is almost mobile! He's so strong! He's able to pull himself forward all with his upperbody. He's getting good at sitting up too. He is still pretty wobbly and tips over easily, but he's doing great. What a fun 4th of July!
Unfortunately we sat in major traffic coming home on Sunday, even leaving early. Oh well. Sunday afternoon we had a BBQ over at Flyer and Sarah's house. They ate him up! He is such a good little boy, all the time. He's so happy! Jack and Elijah Buckmaster had a blast playing with him, trying to encourage him to crawl after a toy, and then immediately put it in his mouth! It was really cute to watch them. Aiden was rolling over and army crawling to show off like a champ!
We selected a nanny over the weekend, finally! It was such a process. I still don't feel totally confident, but hopefully we make the right choice. We decided to hire Shelby. It came down to her, Donya, or Rhea.
