I took Monday off to have Shelby spend the day with Aiden and I, since next week she'll be starting full time. It was a cool day, so we were able to take a long walk around the park, Aiden took good naps, and we had an enjoyable day getting comfortable with each other. Aiden loves to be out of the car seat and sitting in the stroller now, where he can look out, watch Kuna run around, see the trees, etc. Walks are super stimulating now, instead of nap time, which is great.
Tuesday-Thursday Gammie and Papa got to be with Aiden, and I think all three of them really enjoyed the week. Aiden is a totally different baby from where he was two months ago when they were watching him. He's always on the go now! Tuesday evening my entire family came over to celebrate Dad's birthday (which was Wednesday), so that was fun. Sweet Cow ice cream cake was delicious!
Wednesday Aiden was 7 months old. Wow time is really flying! Thursday Aiden officially learned how to get himself back into a sitting position! Gammie said she watched him try and try during the day until he figured it out. He pushes himself in a bear crawl/downward dog and then slides a leg underneath himself and he's sitting back up!
Friday Ross and I both had SPE golf, so Shelby had her first few hours alone with Aiden, and all went great. Delly and Robyn came by for a visit once Ross got home that afternoon and are always amazed at how much he's changing. He's the sunshine in a lot of people's lives!!
Over the weekend I think Aiden officially started crawling! Those knees finally started moving with him. :-) Army crawling might still be a little quicker, but he's getting the hang of it. And oh my goodness, he loves loves loves trying to pull up on things now. The last few days it has been nonstop. Aiden was a great sleeper this week and truly is getting more and more fun everyday. Ross and I love to lay on the floor and just watch him go. He's so cute and so happy and always on the move. It was fun to show him off at my company picnic in Ft Collins on Saturday, even though he cried most of the drive home. Ross and I nailed our "Ol McDonald" game on the way home, until we were all out of animals. B-I-N-G-O needs a little work. But we laughed hard trying to calm our sweet baby. A fun week, like always! New to the menu was zucchini on Sunday, and he loved it. Liked it plain, liked it mixed with squash or pears. He's such a good eater!
Aiden loves to swing!! We went to the park on Thursday during Ross' basketball game and he loved it. Just smiled and smiled! Luckily the park in ft Collins had a baby swing too, so Ross got to see how cute he is on the swings.
Week 31-
This was a big week! Shelby, our nanny, started full time this week and it went great. Aiden was happy, Kuna was happy, and I think Shelby was happy! Also.....Aiden got a tooth! We thought he was teething most of the week because he just wanted to chew on his hands so much, and he was a bit fussy in the evenings. On Thursday night that bottom tooth finally poked through. He handled it like a champ! Aiden also went down to only two naps most days this week. He's taking fabulous morning naps, almost 2 hrs each day. And then about 35 minutes in the afternoon. He's totally exhausted by bedtime, but he's doing really well with it so far. On Thursday Aiden got to try yogurt! We mixed it with peaches and he seemed to enjoy it.
This kiddo might want to skip crawling and go straight to walking! He LOVES to pull up on things! He pulls up on us really well and is starting to pull up on anything he can reach, although he has a hard time getting up unless it's with us. If we're holding his hands, he LOVES to high step walk all over the place. Walk towards Kuna, walk towards Daddy, walk towards something and then sits down to play with it. It's so cute. He even tries to get into bear crawl stance in bathtub, but we're not encouraging any standing up in there! He loved when Daddy squirted him with his bath toys this week and wouldn't stop giggling.
I stopped waking Aiden up for his late night feeding this week and will just let him wake up if he wants to eat. Last Friday I woke him up and he totally lost it, and was a crying mess. It broke my heart. So....no more waking up a sleeping baby from Momma. He woke up on his own at about 10:30 pm almost every night. But there has been no middle of the night waking up for weeks now.

Oh my gosh, Aiden started taking naps practically sitting up! He sits in his crib and then eventually gets too tired or gives in to sleep and literally just folds over his legs. He just tips over his legs and is asleep sitting Indian style! It can't be comfortable and it is the cutest saddest thing I've seen!
Ross and I can't get over how much fun Aiden is! We can sit and watch him all day and just smile. He's such a doll. We sure love this little fella!
This weekend we went camping for one night, up at Mom and Dad's ranch in Wyoming. We drove up during his morning nap and spent Saturday night up there. Because Aiden loves to be outside so much, he did awesome. We had him sleep in the trailer, and other than fighting going to sleep initially, he did great. Luckily it didn't get too cold that night. Kuna woke up barking about every other hour, so Ross and I slept terrible in Kuna's torture chamber, ie: the tent! We went for a fun hike and Aiden enjoyed half of it and then put his head down and slept through the rest. He seems super comfy in our sweet new hiking backpack.
On Sunday we hurried up and drove home during his morning nap, then I had to rush down to Lauren Eppolito's bridal shower in Castle Rock, and shortly after getting home, we quickly packed Aiden up and headed to Highlands Ranch to visit Ross' family at their tennis match. This little guy sure is loved.
It was a crazy weekend, but it was fun. Aiden's sharp lower tooth is working it's way up everyday. He's getting better and better at crawling using his knees and pulling up on things by himself. It's incredible. Everyday he is changing!
