Week 35

Happy Labor Day!

We enjoyed our Monday off with our little man.  He slept in until about 7:30 after a quick 5am milk, which was a nice sleep for us.  He's been waking up at ~6-6:30am lately.  We went to a quick visit at Ross' Grandparents, where Aiden was a hit like always.  Then we ran some errands and had fun playing with Aiden.  He was cracking himself up looking in the mirror and had fun playing with all his toys for a long time before dinner.  It was so cute.  He was so happy! Which is rather amazing considering he had two upper teeth break through over the weekend.  He was definitely hurting and needed Tylenol on occasion, but was so pleasant and tough.  He took a number of tumbles over the weekend, always trying to stand or crawl too fast, but it never slowed him down!

Aiden woke up most night this week, and we assume it's his teeth hurting and probably another growth spurt. The two upper teeth are really working their way through, and we're sure the middle upper two aren't far behind.  Poor kiddo

Shelby was sick on Tuesday this week, so Ross got to do Daddy daycare and had a great day with his son!  They got to have a picnic in the park, laugh at Kuna chasing squirrels, and even made Aiden's first trip to Home Depot.

Aiden LOVED the chicken, brown rice, and peach dinner I whipped up for him.  I need to continue to get more creative with his food because he's such a good eater.  We probably need to start feeding him 3 times a day soon.  We also need to figure out how to start having our dinner ready at the same time as his so we can start eating together....  Always something to figure out!  He also gobbled down sweet potatoes and bananas and loved trying to bite off the banana his mama was eating!

Aiden really started spitting when he blows raspberries with his mouth and making little slurping sounds with his spit.  It's too funny.  He thinks so too!

It's so great how much Aiden loves Kuna.  He likes to play with her toys and crawl after her.  He lights up with a smile when we "walk" around the couch and find her looking out the door.

Aiden wants to stand up the whole time he's in the bath, which is a challenge, but he loves his bath toys and always smiles and giggles when we squirt him with them.  He's a huge challenge trying to change these days.  He just rolls over and sits up and reaches for everything behind him.  You have to be patient changing this kid now!

I got Aiden a couple "play tables" at the consignment store on Friday, and they were perfect, since he loves to stand up!  He had a hard week and weekend sleeping, as we think his middle two upper teeth are about to break through, so he'll have four coming in up top.  He woke up at 11/12 and 3/4 the last few nights, which is kind of brutal on me.  And at 3/4 he's just crying.  Poor kiddo.  The baby Tylenol seems to help and he's still pleasant as could be.

Ross and I went to the opening Broncos game on Sunday and mom and dad came over to watch Aiden.  They had so much fun with this active little grandchild!  He broke off his mobile in his crib.  He's too strong!  It was also our 7th Wedding Anniversary.  Wow, 7 years went really fast!  We're so lucky to have each other and have a great marriage.  Let's hope for many many more fabulous years together.
