Yay, we have a holiday weekend coming up, with Labor Day, so we'll get extra time with our boy over his 8 month birthday!
Aiden cracks himself up blowing raspberries with his mouth. Of course it's funny to do when he has a mouth full of food!
He slept all the way through the night with no dream feed a few nights, and still woke up a few nights. I feel like we're on the verge of sleeping through without extra food after initial bedtime. We're so close!
Aiden is really starting to learn his name. Responds to it way more than in previous weeks. He is definitely starting to like books and touching the fur in the touch and feel books. Aiden's first two upper teeth broke through this week. On Friday and Sunday to the two just outside the middle teeth broke through. Poor kiddo. He's handling it like a champ and is so tough. It's so sad when he kind of paws at his mouth and sucks on his bottom lip because it hurts.
He has found Kuna's bowls lately and always wants to stick his hand in the water.
We're baby proofing the house this weekend, with baby gates and outlet covers and corner cushions a few places. He wants to climb on everything and pull up on things not stable enough to hold him. We'll have some tumbles in the near future I'm afraid. He just wants to be so independent and always see what's going on.
We took him to a couple innings of a Rockies game on Tuesday. He didn't seem to care much, as the action on the field was a bit too slow. Then it was time to get him home and to bed! On Saturday we went bowling for Rachel and Clayton's birthday, which was fun. Aiden again didn't really notice what we were playing but sure had fun smiling and giggling at all the Cammon's. And then he loved to crawl after Tia! He sure loves doggies.
Aiden got to try chicken on Sunday! I made a chicken. sweet potato, apple meal for him, and he loved it! I guess it's just me that had a hard time wanting to puree meat, but it turned out pretty good. I have a couple others picked out to try, one with peaches in it, so he's sure to enjoy it. He's such a good little eater.
He had so much fun playing in the hose water and drinking it on Sunday. He was just darling.
