Diapers - We just went up to Size 4 about a week ago
Sleeping - Amazing! He sleeps ~11 hrs every night, from 7:30pm to 6:30am. He takes two naps, morning at ~9:30am for about 1.5 hrs, and afternoon at ~2:30-3pm for anywhere between 40 min - 1.5 hrs.
Eating - Great! He really started feeding himself more this month and is doing great with finger foods. We've tried a number of nights where he eats everything we're eating. Some meals have been a success (pizza, pork chops, ravioli) and others not so much (steak, turkey). He still drinks milk almost every 3 hrs during the day, 6 oz from a bottle, or who knows who much from me! The biting has gotten much better this month, so I've made it one more month! He still loves pears and can eat 1/2 of one with no problem! He likes cheese, loves blueberries and bananas, sweet potato fries, and did well with pancakes and pumpkin bread. He tried asparagus and broccoli and would continue to put it in his mouth but rarely swallowed much. Haha! Still only has his 6 teeth and the cutest little gap tooth smile! He gets totally hangry for his meals, so we have to get good and having a meal ready for him quickly. He eats breakfast at about 7:45 am, lunch at about noon, and dinner at about 5:45pm.
Milestones - Clapping. Waving. High 5's. Walking in shoes. Finger foods. Throwing. Understanding and recognition of words and objects. First trip to Denver zoo.
Loves - Aiden loves the fussball table and playing with the little soccer balls. He really likes when I hold him and play one handed and he'll give me high-5's when our team scores. We're undefeated against Dad! Aiden loves to wave at his bumblebee clock and his basketball hoop in his room every morning. He really loves throwing his toys or Kuna's toys down the stairs. It's his favorite game! :-) He throws them through the slots or recently over the top of the gate. Aiden adores when we chase him or come after him, particularly in the basement. He runs for the stairs and we come after him and he smiles and laughs with delight when we get him. It has been so cool to see Aiden learn to understand words and recognize objects. He knows his bumblebee clocks, basketball hoop, soccer ball, football, ma-ma, da-da, etc, and when you ask him to get them or wave at them he does! Aiden still totally loves to help make the coffee and gets excited when we tell him it's time. He loves to play with the straps and buckles of his high chair. He seems to like obstacle courses and creates them with the kitchen table and chairs and drops balls through them, etc. He continues to love Kuna and enjoys playing with her all the time. He loves it outside and crosses his feet and relaxes in the stroller. He recognizes people in pictures and lights up when he looks through the "family" book I made him. Aiden likes to splash in the bath and wants to help get the Aquaphor out of the tub when we lotion him up after a bath. His degree of helping is questionable! :-) Aiden likes to shoot hoops in the basement and play in the basement in general. Aiden babbles like crazy but still doesn't really say words. If anything, he might be trying to say "ball" with "ba-ba-ba-ba" while walking around with balls. He's doing great walking in shoes and claps and waves all the time. It's so cute! He giggles all the time and does "SO BIG" whenever we ask him too He grips his hands together and pulls them over his hands so hard! Aiden loves to open and close anything he can! The washing machine, dishwasher, freezer, refrigerator, hampers, Tupperware, doors, trash can, even the gates if we leave them open...anything! He enjoys opening and closing Kuna's big food storage container and also loves putting everything in her food bowl if we leave it down. He'll put his toys, books, etc in her bowl! Her water bowl we pick up every morning or he splashes it everywhere! He enjoys book a lot now. He loves playing with the humidifer in his room or unplugging our first thing in the mornings. He still loves turning off and on the bathtub in our room and playing with my necklaces in the closet. He makes a game out of everything!
Hates - Aiden hates sitting still! He is a wreck to change his diaper and rolls over and grab things like a crazy man. He's not a huge fan of putting his shoes on. Aiden hates being too hungry and definitely lets us know when he's hangry! Other than that, he is seriously so pleasant and happy!
Aiden is such a little doll. He's soooooo smiley. And so happy. We're so blessed to have this sweet boy. We can't believe you're almost a year old!
